HitecVision is pleased to announce an investment in Offshore Merchant Partners AS, a start-up merchant finance company targeting the offshore oil and gas industry. HitecVision has agreed to provide an equity line of up to USD 206 million to fund the company’s development.
Specializing in structuring, financing and management of offshore asset projects, OMP operates in the cross section between the offshore industry and finance matching equity and debt investors with solid industrial projects. By virtue of being a niche specialist with a balance sheet, OMP complements the existing service providers, primarily specialized investment entities, and brokerage and advisory boutiques. OMP is headquartered in Oslo and primarily targets Northern European oil & gas related offshore asset markets.
