HitecVision announced 18. June that it has acquired a majority shareholding in independent marine, offshore and engineering consultancy Global Maritime. Jan Vatsvåg, and Gary Hogg, the company’s CEO and COO respectively, will retain a significant minority shareholding in the company and continue in their leading management roles
Global Maritime employs approximately 260 civil and structural engineers, naval architects, mechanical & marine engineers and master mariners, supplying the highest quality of services to major oil & gas operators, EPC companies, yards and offshore construction companies. The Company delivers a range of technical services required for the design, construction and completion of complex offshore development projects. With offices in 13 countries, it covers most of the worlds key oil & gas locations.
By combining Global Maritime’s technical and industry expertise, established market presence and brand name with the capital resources and international network of HitecVision, Global Maritime will seek to continue its strong organic growth record combined with acquisition of complementary and value adding companies. The combined goals of the management and HitecVision are to make Global Maritime a market leader within its target markets, and to continue the international expansion plan begun by the previous management/ shareholder group.
