Aberdeen-based Altra Energy, a company in the STG Group, has been awarded brownfield contracts worth a total of £1 million ($1.5 million) in the UK North Sea. Altra has won a diverse range of project-based work with operators including BG, Talisman, BP, Halliburton, Hess, Bluewater and Eaglewood Energy. New business ranges from conceptual studies to design and fabrication of turnkey solutions for minor modifications, as well as consultancy support.
“We are experiencing a surge in brownfield activity, which is really encouraging following the slowdown in the North Sea last year due to the recession,” Altra managing director Daniel McGowan said. “We have boosted our facilities engineering and decommissioning capability and this has resulted in us capturing some exciting contract wins.”
