Noble Denton strengthens its position in Norway

Noble Denton today announces the acquisition of Standard Engineering and Brevik Engineering from Oslo-based Strata Marine & Offshore for MNOK 273 (£25.9m).

In line with our business strategy, this acquisition strengthens both our market position and demonstrates our focus and commitment in Norway. Both Brevik and Standard Engineering bring first-class engineering skills to Noble Denton, particularly in the conversion and construction area, says John Wishart, Noble Denton’s new Group Managing Director. “We are pleased to announce we have signed the share purchase agreement of the acquisition of Standard Engineering and Brevik Engineering subject to the approval of the Norwegian Competition Authority.”

With this acquisition Noble Denton increases it employee base by 20% to 730 employees. The addition of Standard and Brevik resources strengthens our engineering base enhancing Noble Denton’s global reach and expanding its comprehensive service offerings to the oil & gas, marine and renewable industries.

Noble Denton’s goal is to establish itself as a market leader in Norway and recognises the need for an enhanced local presence in response to increased demand from operators and major service providers.

Anne Murer, CEO of Strata Marine & Offshore, will head up Noble Denton’s new Norwegian region in the New Year.
