Tore Gjedebo, Chairman
Tore Gjedebo has been CEO of investment company Styrbjørn AS since 2000. Styrbjørn is the family office of the Gjedebo family, and the largest owner of HitecVision. Prior to joining Styrbjørn he worked in corporate finance in London from 1997 - 2000. Gjedebo holds a Bachelor of Commerce (hons.) from Edinburgh University.

Thorleif Enger, Non-Executive Director
Dr Thorleif Enger was until recently the CEO of Yara International ASA, the world’s largest producer of fertilisers. Prior to this, he has more than 30 years of experience from the oil industry, i.a. as Executive Vice President of Oil and Energy for Norsk Hydro from 1996 to 1999, President of Hydro’s Exploration and Production Division from 1987 to 1996 and Project Director for the development of the Oseberg oil field 1982 to 1986. From 1970 to 1973 he was employed by Shell Development Company in Houston, Texas.
Dr Enger is the Chairman of the Board of Spring Energy, serves on the supervisory board of E.ON Ruhrgas AG, and as Board member of Acergy, FMC Technologies and Marine Harvest ASA
Dr Enger has a PhD in Structural Engineering from the University of Colorado, USA. -
Jon Gjedebo, Non-executive Director
Jon Gjedebo is the founder of HitecVision's predecessor Hitec. He holds ship’s engineer and business qualifications. Gjedebo has been an entrepreneur since 1973, forming Hitec in 1985, where he was CEO and main shareholder. Together with Ola Sætre and Ole Ertvaag, he built the company from small beginnings via an IPO in 1994 to be a listed multinational oil service technology provider which was sold to National Oilwell in 2000. Gjedebo has been named Norwegian Entrepreneur of the Year, and was also Norway’s ”Oilman of the Year” in 1997. He served on the Stavanger City Council from 1979 to 1991, and has been on a number of public bodies, including the original INTSOK committee.
In May 2007 Gjedebo received the OTC Heritage Award for his contributions to the technological development within the petroleum industry. -
Thorhild Widvey, Non-Executive Director
Thorhild Widvey was Norway's Minister of Petroleum and Energy from 2004 - 2005. She currently works as a private consultant, holding board positions in several oil and gas industry related companies.
Previously, Ms. Widvey was state secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from January 2003 till June 2004. From June 2002 till January 2003 she was state secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries. She was a Member of Parliament from 1989 till 1997 for Rogaland Conservative Party, and deputy member from 1985 till 1989. She was member of the Standing Committee on Health and Social Affairs and the Standing Committee on Transport.
Ms. Widvey has a degree from the College of Physical Education in Århus, Denmark. She has former work experience as marketing manager of the Rica hotels in Haugesund, project leader in Karmøy county administration and sports leader for mentally handicapped.
Thorhild Widvey has held a number of political positions and honorary posts both for the Conservative Party and various organisations. -
Eivind Astrup, Non-Executive Director
Eivind Astrup is president and CEO of Bjørgvin AS. He joined the Bjørgvin Group in 1989 from Platou Investment a.s., where he had been President since 1983. Previously Mr. Astrup was in charge of the shipping investments of Storebrand Insurance Co., and he has been Finance Manager of the oil company DNO and a Financial analyst/Portfolio Manager with Storebrand starting in 1969.
Mr. Astrup holds an MBA and is educated at Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales, Paris and Université de Genève, Switzerland.
